  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
Pink Icing:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3-4 tbsp milk
  • Pink food coloring
  • Red icing for lines
  • Red fondant for heart seal
  • Edible paper for note


  1. Dough Preparation:
    • Combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
    • In another bowl, mix together eggs and milk.
    • Gradually add wet ingredients to dry, mixing until combined.
    • Knead in softened butter until the dough is smooth.
    • Let it rise until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
  2. Shaping and Second Rise:
    • Roll out the dough and cut into rectangular shapes.
    • Place on a baking sheet, cover, and allow to rise for 30 minutes.
  3. Baking:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
    • Cool on a wire rack.
  4. Pink Icing:
    • Mix powdered sugar with milk to create a smooth icing.
    • Add pink food coloring to reach the desired shade.
  5. Decoration:
    • Once cooled, ice each doughnut with the pink icing.
    • Use red icing to draw envelope lines.
    • Create a heart seal from red fondant and place in the center.
    • Add a small edible paper note to complete the love letter theme.
